I was pleased to read an article from my RSS feed on one of my favorite sites, How Stuff Works, on altruism with great logical references. This is kind of basic Philosophy 101, similar to meaning of life thought... at least that's what we studied in my first philosophy course.

i am into politics and am not proud to admit i thought rummy was being honest when he said this was done by a few bad apples in our military.. this vid makes you see how it got to where it did and that only the ones in the news-released photo's were busted..

this is a documentary on the facts about the prisoner abuses that got all the photo press, from hbo..quite long but well worth the time. apparently its "protected" because i cant find a way to copy or add. there...

I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving and didn't eat too much. I am trying to book a larger room at the library for our next meeting on Dec 12th. The person in charge of that has been out all last week. This following article was in the Journal Gazette this weekend. I bet we could add an enlightened reasonable voice to the conversations. Does anyone one know anyone in the these discussions? Anyone want to attend one of their meetings with me?

To follow the discussion from the meeting, here is a link to her movie that fought back for women in Islam. She is talking to Allah and the tatoos on the subjects body are key passages that are degrading to women in the Koran.... It opens with traditional prayer and then she starts in with english. The director of the film was killed and Ayann has been in hiding ever since. It is called Submission part I. Part II was never made....
