Please post discussion here on a revision to the Constitution / Bylaws to include an Audit Committee for the organization. The purpose of this committee would be to ensure that all necessary accounting practices are followed to the fullest extent of all applicable laws and regulations.

Per our discussion, the purpose of this thread is to organize a constitutional convention for FreeThought Fort Wayne.

Membership cards

Is it a stupid idea to have membership cards? I like the idea just because it gives us a general idea of group size. It would help us plan ahead for things like bus trips or banquets and whatnot.
I know some people may be nervous about giving their names, but I don't see why those that want to remain anonymous or under handle couldn't remain so.
Just thinking out loud. Let me know what you guys and gals think.

The Campus Freethought Alliance has a great booklet available in PDF form that describes how to go about organizing a group like ours, including forming a constitution and a sample constitution in Appendix E. While the book is focused on forming a CFA group I think many of the ideas therein are applicable to our own little alliance. Here's the link:
