Just a quick post, unless anyone objects I am volunteering to head up the website committee. Anyone who wishes to be involved just let me know, the more the
merrier.
Here's what I'd like to do
#1) Get suggestions on what should be included in the website; the sky's the limit, here are examples:
Calendar of events, blogs, forums, book reviews, blogrolls, podcast/vodcast resources, member profiles, news, RSS feeds
#2) Once I have the suggestions together this will inform the kind of technology that will need to be involved which goes directly into the kinds and costs of webhosting. I believe Mike mentioned that humanist.net offers free webhosting which is true however they are not currently accepting new groups (boo!)
#3) Once we know the platform and technology, I will work on the design, I'd like to present to the group before we actually do anything, I don't want to be a dictator on this. In fact, before we make any commitments to hosting this whole website can be designed and demo'ed and if everyone's happy we can then get this put out into the Intertubes. We've only invested time and not money.
#4) Also, the freethoughtfortwayne.org domain name is available
