At this season of the Winter Solstice may reason prevail. There are no gods, no devils, no angels, no heaven or hell. There is only our natural world. Religion is but myth and superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds.
If that is not a sign of progress, I don't know what is. (Although, personally, I think all such displays should be banned from the Capitol.)
The reporter does not seem keen on the sign and calls it 'anti-religious'. I suppose that's technically correct, but I note that the reporter does not refer to the nativity scene as 'pro-ignorance'.
The reporter goes on to say "With the policy so open, some wonder how extreme the displays will get in the future." Indeed. Everyone knows that atheism is a gateway belief to all manner of perversions. I, mean, it's not like we have a sensible fetish, like needing to see someone stripped, whipped and nailed to a cross.
